“True Sincerity” is a new shrub type floribunda with red, yellow and pink multicolor blooms. It grows to a compact 3x3-foot size, with dark green foliage. The flowers are abundant, beautiful and pleasantly scented.
What if someone could trust a rose to be easy to grow, disease resistant and low maintenance as well as to flower repeatedly and in mass? And, to top it off, produce a true rose bloom?
”True Bloom”, a new series of roses from one of the largest commercial growers in the U.S., now offers several varieties which embody those easy-care, true-rose truths. These revolutionary plants are intended to foster a new perception about roses: that they can be as simple to grow and care for as they are beautiful. There is no special training or magic sauce required to transform these into thriving performers.
They’re part of a new class of roses: the Hybrid Tea Shrub. With more people living in denser neighborhoods with smaller yards, homeowners and renters often look for plants that are adaptable to tighter spaces, suitable for patios and narrow beds.
Walker County Master Gardeners are volunteers committed to education and outreach on a wide variety of horticultural subjects. Our association was founded in 2001 and is part of the Texas Master Gardeners Association.
WALKER COUNTY MASTER GARDENERS
TX A&M Agri-Life Extension
Master Gardeners are members of the local community who take an active interest in their lawns, trees, shrubs, flowers and gardens. They are enthusiastic, willing to learn and to help others, and able to communicate with diverse groups of people.
What really sets Master Gardeners apart from other home gardeners is their special training in horticulture. In exchange for their training, persons who become Master Gardeners contribute time as volunteers, working through their cooperative Extension office to provide horticultural information and education back to their communities. If you are interested in becoming an Extension Master Gardener, contact your AgriLife Extension office.
