The Triple Crown blackberry is renowned for producing some of the most flavorful and high-quality berries available. The fruit is large, glossy, and deep black when fully ripe, with a perfect balance of sweetness and tartness. Its firm texture makes it ideal for a wide range of culinary uses, from fresh eating to jams, jellies, and pies. The flavor is rich, complex, and refreshingly sweet, making it a favorite not only among blackberry enthusiasts but also for commercial growers and food producers. These berries are highly desirable due to their superior taste and versatility in the kitchen.
What sets the Triple Crown blackberry apart is its extended harvest period. The plant consistently produces large quantities of berries over several weeks in mid to late summer, usually from July to August, ensuring a steady supply of delicious fruit. This reliable and abundant fruiting, coupled with its exceptional flavor, has made the Triple Crown a top choice for both home gardeners and blackberry lovers looking for the best-tasting variety. Whether eaten fresh off the vine, used in desserts, or turned into preserves, the Triple Crown blackberry delivers an outstanding berry-eating experience.

WALKER COUNTY MASTER GARDENERS
TX A&M Agri-Life Extension
Master Gardeners are members of the local community who take an active interest in their lawns, trees, shrubs, flowers and gardens. They are enthusiastic, willing to learn and to help others, and able to communicate with diverse groups of people.
What really sets Master Gardeners apart from other home gardeners is their special training in horticulture. In exchange for their training, persons who become Master Gardeners contribute time as volunteers, working through their cooperative Extension office to provide horticultural information and education back to their communities. If you are interested in becoming an Extension Master Gardener, contact your AgriLife Extension office.
